Longer Locks

When I was 14 I cut off my waist-length hair to a short bob... and of course, now 9 years later, just like my mother warned me - I am trying to grow it back!

Fact is, my hair will never be that healthy again. It hadn't been dyed and bleached and straightened to breaking point! It's a catch 22, the whole reason I want long hair, is so that I can have it curled and hairsprayed into fancy up-dos... but you can't have long hair if you neglect it.

Here are a few things I've learnt that encourage your hair to shine and grow...

Scalp Massages:
That's right ladies, if you're boyfriend wants you to have long hair - you have the perfect excuse to either drop a bit of extra money on that salon without him complaining OR my favourite... have him doting over you once a week and giving you the massage himself!!

Trim dead hair:
I know you're attached to the length but if you really have split ends, they will just break and travel further up and make your hair look thin and unhealthy.

Codliver Oil:
A lot of people will recommend silica tablets etc. But I would suggest trying something like Codliver Oil tablets first. It is cheaper and should do the job as well as make your skin and nails healthier. It has high levels of Omega-3 and Vitamins D & A.

Leave the 'Drag', Be a Queen.

I think it's always important to get away for a girls weekend occasionally.

I went to Sydney for Mardi Gras and Rihanna and had a blast. I absolutely missed my man, especially when it came to bedtime and I realised that snuggling into an oversized top with his cologne on it, isn't the same as being wrapped in his warm, strong arms.

But, there was glitter everywhere, silly song blaring and lots of champagne.

The wait is over Rihanna
